EPOSINT – 30 years of coating experience, from 2004 with an extended range of services.

At the beginning of 2004, EPOSINT was incorporated into the Adelhelm Group by the rule of succession. It will continue to produce as EPOSINT AG in Pfyn/TG and remain your contact partner.



The entire program of EPOSINT AG is being continued in Pfyn/TG and will be supplemented by the activities of Adelhelm Kunststoffbeschichtungen GmbH and Adelhelm LubriCoat GmbH. The co-operation of experienced and well equipped teams enables a bundling of competencies in Switzerland in all questions to do with technical coatings with plastics and metals - as non-stick coating, chemical protection, dry lubrication, sliding coating or burst protection - on metals, elastomers and glass. Particularly interesting is the access to plasma and nano-technology and the DLC coatings.

EPOSINT places great emphasis on controlled process technology and quality assurance. The central goal is to offer you optimum solutions for coatings and high-tech surface finishes with a technically mature, wide range of products.

Historie
The history of EPOSINT is based on more than 30 years of know-how in the coating of metal workpieces with plastics which meet special technical requirements. The first steps in technical plastic coating go back to the late 1960s. Eddy sintering made it possible to melt thermoplastics onto metal substrates with good adhesion and in thick coats where necessary. At that time mainly PE-LD and some PE-HD and PVC and new processes were used. New plastics were added over the decades, especially highly interesting copolymers such as PA, PEBA, EVA, modified polyolefins, TPU or PUR etc. as well as numerous high-tech plastics such as ETFE, ECTFE, PEEK, PVDF and the whole range of non-stick and chemical-resistant fluoroplastics such as PTFE, FEP, PFA, MFA etc.

Substrate pre-treatment
Pre-treatment at EPOSINT is a process step which is finely adapted to the substrate and the subsequent coating.

Pre-treatment of metallic substrates
The pre-treatment of the parts to be coated is performed by degreasing and then blasting in our own sand blasting machines at the factory. Only blasting media are used which are free from ferromagnetic parts, above all fused corundum, special fused alumina, glass shot and special low-wear blasting methods.

Pre-treatment of polymer substrates
Rubber parts to be coated such as O-rings and TPE and rubber gaskets are cleaned chemically to thoroughly remove separators and talcum. A plasma activation of the substrate surface is necessary for caoutchouc to achieve optimum adhesion of the coating. Nano coatings which we have developed specially in co-operation with universities serve the same purpose, namely adjustment of the surface tension.



Production of the raw part with overmeasure.
The plastic coating and the metal are machined to the end dimensions after coating.



The delivered raw parts are coated and then the uncoated contact surfaces are silver plated.
